The Philippines – the smiling islands
The Philippines are one of the largest und most beautiful group of islands in the Southeast Asia. 7107 islands, most of them uninhabited – an idyll with white powder sand palm beaches, crystal clear water, paradisiacal diving spots, majestic volcanoes, bright-green rice fields, impenetrable jungle, palm tree forests, villages with original inhabitants and skyscrapers in Manila.
Official language is English and about 95% of the population is Christian.June to October is rainy saison. The temperatures however, are pleasing and the rain is limited – which is why the time of the year is also called “flower season”, a very nice time period to travel to the Philippines. Especially on the smaller islands you will find a very balanced climate with temperature average of around 25-30°C.
The deep sea and ocean currents are the reason that the water temperatures, too, will not rise above 30°C and therefore the coral reefs are still intact on the Philipines.
